Archaeologists have never been heard of again... so the Archduke thought it was best for the families to do their mourning. Three weeks ago we heard unusual sounds coming from the depths, of course, we first thought it was noise produced by a creature living underground, but one of our workers recognized an old code used by his grandfather. Apparently, someone was trying to contact us. Obviously, the Duchy does not want to make the decision to send an expedition, but I do not think His Lordship would object that independent adventurers go investigate.
