The smithy and the tower

Introduction

I'll be honest. I do not think we will find anything interesting at the workshop, but it might help us find a way to open the tower. I admit that this is wishful thinking on my part. To find the smithy, I will need five runes. Bring them to me, and I will explain the following step.
