Here's a little trick I'm quite proud of. Ratkins are not very bright. They live in Shortpoint Forest and dig tunnels to their underground dens; they've created a gigantic tunnel network. But they're too fierce to be tamed, and it's impossible to explain commerce to them. So I devised a plan to trade with them without them realizing. When they dig tunnels, they sometimes find gemstones. My men have persuaded them that offering these stones to their deities will get them food in return. So, you can leave a few morsels of food for them, and take the gemstones. I'm telling you all this, of course, in the most absolute secrecy. This scheme will work better if you go during the day, since they are mostly nocturnal.
